When at the end of the thirdties Enzo Ferrari left Alfa-Romeo he signed a convention where he accepted not to use his name in the motor car sector.
But when Alberto Ascari and a rich aristocrat asked him to create a car in order to compete at the Mille Miglia, Enzo Ferrari accepted the deal.
And so the Auto Avio Costruzioni make was born. The first Ferrari without the name of Ferrari was the AAC 815.
The engine equipping those unique models was a 1.5 liter with 72 HP.
